What is Directional Boring/Drilling?
Directional Boring, also known as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), is a commonly used technique used in the construction industry. HDD is a steerable trench-less technique of installing underground pipes, conduits and cables in a relatively shallow arc or radius along a prearranged path using a surface-launched drilling rig, without the lowest possible impact on destroying any existing ground or other obstacles that exist from between the two points.
